... 'detik terakhir' ...

I just got back from a cinema. The movie I watched is titled “detik terakhir” (last second), with Cornelia Agatha as the main character. Based on a true story, the movie portrays a dysfunctional family which creates a broken-home child who becomes a lesbian and a drug-user. Drugs is the center of this movie. (Check www.detikterakhir.com)

I don’t consider this movie as a commercial movie; rather, I like to call it a documentary movie (something like Monsters, cast by Charlize Theron) since it brings up life’s realities: drugs, affairs, dysfunctional family, broken-home child, prostitution, night-life, lesbianism, and how things really go on in the rehab center (in Indonesia, perhaps, to be specific).

This movie really tells the audience how drugs could ruin one’s life. Sounds pretty cliché, uh? But, you’ll never know unless you see it with your eyes (through a movie in this case). It’s not a cliché. It’s scary. You could end up selling your body just to get the drugs. When you can't get the drugs your body need, you would even slice your hand and suck the blood out of it. In the end, you either get HIV or die. Believe me, you don’t wanna wait until you experience it yourself. It really-really destroy your LIFE and your FUTURE

I think this is the time I better stop being boring. Haha… apart from the drugs, people consider this movie vulgar because it dares showing a girl (Cornelia Agatha to be specific) masturbating herself, silhouette of two lesbian taking shower together (Cornelia Agatha & Sauzan) and the sounds when they’re making love (Guys, I know….hold your breath :), not to mention an action when a dealer (Ruhut Sitompul) rape his own agent (Sauzan).

To me, this movie is great. It has its own class. I learn one main point from this movie. A person need to act and to take every step in his life carefully, keeping in mind the consequences every decision would create. We don't wanna regret what we've done in the past later on; thus we need to give our best in everything we do, first to God, second to our family, and third to our community (environment) until the last second of our life...

Too bad it was launched during Ramadhan season. I believe sooner or later, mass from some religion or organization will stop the movie from playing in the cinema. Sigh…………just as usual.
